Range cooker servicing and repairs
To ensure that your range cooker operates safely and efficiently
is must be serviced and maintained. Pegrum Ltd have fully
qualified engineers who can service all range cookers in the South
East within the locations shown on our map.
The time intervals between servicing depend on your fuel type and
these are as follows:

If you are already a customer of Pegrum Ltd then we
will remind you when the service is due and leave a record to indicate
the service has been completed.
New customers should contact the office and we would be happy to
book a range cooker service appointment.
Please ensure that your range cooker is turned off the night before
the service and has cooled down prior to the arrival of our engineer.
Servicing normally takes between 1 to 2 hours and the servicing
fee is based on your range cooker type and the distance travelled.
Fees are usually between £85 and £190 plus VAT and parts.
During a service some of the following actions will be carried out,
dependent on model and fuel type.
- Check operation of all functional controls and components.
- Test safety devices.
- Confirm correct fuel rates (oil) and gas pressures.
- Clean burners and internal flue-ways.
- Inspect/Replace rope seals and gaskets.
- Adjust operation of insulating lids and doors.
- Verify level and if necessary top up insulation.
- Visual safety check of oil line and storage tank.
- Check for gas soundness.
- Check integrity and safety of electrical connections and insulation.
- Ensure flue system and ventilation is correct.
- Clean circulation and/or oven venting fans.
Repairs and breakdowns
Pegrum Ltd are also qualified to carry out any repairs to range cookers that may have broken down or are not running correctly. We stock a large quantity of parts to get your range cooker running again. |
