Installing your range cooker
When you ask Pegrum Ltd to install a new or pre-owned
range cooker you have the option of choosing from a simple install
or for us to provide all the necessary plumbing and building works.
Using just one company for all the work makes the process a
lot easier for you.
A normal installation procedure of a range cooker would be as follows:
- Home survey meeting to discuss the services you require from
your range cooker and how it fits in your kitchen.
- Delivery of your range cooker either direct from your local
store or by Pegrum Ltd on the day of installation.
- Prepare the area for installation, building a plinth or supplying a steel base unit.
- Assembly of the range cooker and set up to manufacturer’s
settings.
- Connection to fuel supply and flue.
- Introduction to range cooker functions.
If all services and flues are in place this could take approximately
1 day. In addition to a basic installation Pegrum Ltd
can:
- Tile the surrounding area.
- Build a mantle.
- Erect a new kit form chimney.
- Fit fuel supplies and tanks.
- Attach any other heating or hot water fittings and supplies.
- Carry out the alcove building work.
Depending on the nature of the work, this can take from a week upwards.
